The terminal integrates innovative, self-developed systems to ensure efficient cargo handling. It features two 15-foot ETVs, two 10-foot ULD elevators, and 710 six-layer 10-foot double-deep storage slots. Additionally, the terminal features three sets of 10-foot shuttle cars spanning three levels, along with over 300 roller conveyors and more than 20 lifting combination tables, all of which are part of an automated cargo processing system that enhances speed and accuracy.
Key Project Highlights
On July 31, 2025, Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport’s East International Cargo Terminal officially opened after passing industry inspection and receiving the “Customs Supervision Operation Site Registration Certificate” from Hangzhou Customs. This marks the launch of China’s first multi-story, intelligent international cargo terminal.
Smart and Scalable Logistics Hub
The terminal covers 156,700 square meters, nearly five times the size of the previous facility, with a cargo handling capacity of 600,000 tons per year. It handles international cargo, e-commerce parcels, express shipments, and temperature-sensitive goods. This new facility will be the main gateway for global goods like cosmetics and luggage entering Hangzhou.
